Hans married Hanna Sofie Fransdatter, daughter of Frans Gundersen Grøttvet and Kristine Fredriksdatter Gram, on 12 Nov 1882 in Christiania, Norway.¹ (Hanna Sofie Fransdatter was born on 27 Sep 1857 in Grøttvetplass, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 25 Oct 1857 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

They were living on the Solvold (Hoel) farm in Askim when their daughter Edle Caspara was born in December 1885. They were still there in March 1889 when their son Karl Hagbart was baptised, and in May 1893 when their son Harald Torstein was baptised. ²
