  Marriage Notes:

When they married Andreas was 30 years old and Helene was 22. He was from the Gudim øvre farm in Askim and she was from the Vestre Eeg farm. His father was Albrekt Mathisen and her father was Anders Hansen. They married the same day as Helene's older sister Anne. The best men at their marriage were Christian Gudim and Hans Løken in Trøgstad.

When their son Johan Oluf was christened in December 1853 and when their daughter Hansine Augusta was christened in January 1860 they were recorded as Andreas Albretsen og Helen Andersdr Eeg.

In the census for 1865 Andreas and Helene owned and farmed the Kolstad søndre farm in Askim. They had 2 sons and 3 daughters with them: Anton (15 years old), Johan (13), Karine (9), Augusta (7), and Magna (3). All were born in Askim. 1 3
