Paul Aslaksen ^{1 2}

   Another name for Paul was Paul Aslaksen Østrengdalen.

  General Notes:

Paul was from Østrengdalen in Eidsberg.

In 1841 Paul bought the eastern part of the Gutu farm in Askim from Erik Gudmundsen for 650 spdl. The other part of the farm was auctioned in 1844 and Paul bought it for 320 spdl.

Paul farmed Gutu until 1854, when his wife Kristina died. With the division of the estate in 1854 the farm was divided between their three sons, and Paul took a pension valued at 40 spd. per year.

  Medical Notes:

The Ministerialbok states that he was 75 years old when he died. This would mean that his year of birth would be ca 1780.

Paul married Kristine Kristoffersdatter. (Kristine Kristoffersdatter was born circa 1784, died on 17 Nov 1854 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 28 Nov 1854.)
