  General Notes:

Ole was from Prestby in Spydeberg. In 1919 he bought the Fjell (u. Øvre Rud) farm in Askim for 6000 kr. He was previously a cottager on Kjellegård and a farm manager on Mellom-Rom, but he mainly worked as a blacksmith.

  Research Notes:

The census for 1900 shows his year of birth as 1867.

The 1865 census for the Præstby østre farm in Spydeberg lists his father's father, 55 year old Ole Arnesen.

In 1865 his father, Arne Olsen, appears to have been 26 years old and working as a servant on the Nordby vestre farm for 59 year old Ellef Arnesen, possibly his uncle. 3

• He was a blacksmith [smed] in 1900 in Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway.


Ole married Emma Sofie Martinsen. (Emma Sofie Martinsen was born in 1864 in Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they were living on Østhytten in Spydeberg. They had five of their children with them: Karoline, Olaf, Olga, Elise, and Inga. 2
