When he married in 1900 Karl Anton's father was recorded as Peder Olsen Franshuset.

Karl and Josefine lived on the Foss u. Nedre Rud farm in Askim around the 1900's. Karl bought the Alvum (u. Oraug) farm from his father-in-law in 1912. He sold it in 1916 for 6800 kr.

• He was a pulpmill worker [sliperiarbeider] in 1900.

Karl married Josefine Kardia Oraug, daughter of Martinius Kristiansen Oraug and Maren Berthea Andreasdatter, on 9 Sep 1900 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Josefine Kardia Oraug was born on 15 Aug 1875 in Høland, Akershus, Norway and died in 1951.)
