In about 1780 Tor took over the Ødegården farm in Askim for 140 rdl. He sold it in 1790 for 400 rdl.


Tor married Kristense Tomasdatter Måsan, daughter of Tomas Amundsen and Anne Kristensdatter Løken, on 20 Feb 1777 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Kristense Tomasdatter Måsan was born in 1745 in Måsan u. Store-Rud, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died in Sep 1810 in Trippestad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 12 Sep 1810 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

When they married they were recorded as Thoer Mathisøn Hoen og Christense Thomasdatter Maasen.

In 1801 they were on the Enger farm in Askim. He was 53 and she was 55 years old. It was the second marriage for both of them. Thor was "Bonde og gaard bruger". They had their three children with them: Eli was 23, Dorthe was 20, and Mathis was 12 years old. Eli's son, Hans Henrichsen, was also there, at two years of age. 1 4
