Kristian married Johanne Kristensdatter, daughter of Kristen Aslaksen and Kirsti Jensdatter Ilen, on 5 Jun 1851 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Johanne Kristensdatter was born on 30 Mar 1823 in Kverne, Askim, Østfold, Norway ⁴, christened on 6 Apr 1823 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 4 Jan 1904 in Kolstad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 13 Jan 1904.)
