Kristian married Johanne Kristensdatter, daughter of Kristen Aslaksen and Kirsti Jensdatter Ilen, on 5 Jun 1851 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Johanne Kristensdatter was born on 30 Mar 1823 in Kverne, Askim, Østfold, Norway 4, christened on 6 Apr 1823 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 4 Jan 1904 in Kolstad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 13 Jan 1904.)


  Marriage Notes:

When they married Christian was 27½ years old and from the Odalen farm in Askim. His father was Hans Sørensen. Johanne was 27 years old and from the Qværne farm. Her father was Christen Aslaksen. The best men at the marriage were Mathis Huusengan and Thord Tømt.

In 1865 they were cottagers without land [Husmand uden Jord, Skrædder], and Christian was a tailor on Borregaarden in Askim. Christian and Johanne were both 43 years old. They had their four children with them: Caroline (14), Carl J (11), Hans A (9), and Edle B (6).

In the census for 1900 they were living on Skjønhaug (u. Kolstad) in Askim. Kristian was still listed as a tailor. Johanne did housework. 1 4 6
