The census for 1900 lists her birth place as Askim. When she married it was recorded as Vammeli in Askim and her father was recorded as Hans Kristian Olsen.

Hilda married Johan Henrik Dahl, son of Martinius Gundersen Katralen and Mari Johansdatter, on 29 Dec 1893 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Johan Henrik Dahl was born on 8 Mar 1869 in Katralen, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 29 Mar 1869 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1947.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they lived on the Haga (bnr. 1) farm in Askim. They farmed there but didn't own it. They had their two surviving daughters and Henrik's step-sister Gina with them. Gina was the nanny for the daughters.

They were living on the Dal farm in October 1913. ^{3 4}
