Another name for Aksel was Axel Andreassen. General Notes: In the census for 1900 he was living on the Rom farm in Askim. He was unmarried and working as a lighting fixture electrician with a construction company [Elektrisk Lysanlæg ved Anlægget]. Aksel married Anna Rom, daughter of Karl Olsen Rom and Sissel Marie Andreasdatter Oraug, on 21 Dec 1902 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Anna Rom was born on 15 Jun 1880 in Krogstad, Akershus, Norway.) Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 they both were living on the Rom farm in Askim, both unmarried. It was her family's farm and he lived there while working in Askim. This is where they probably met and married later. 3 |
