He was 10 years old in the 1801 census.

In the 1865 census there was a Christen Olsen who was 76 years old, born in Askim, and living on one (87a1) of the Løken nordre farms in Askim owned by Anders Hansen. He was then a widower living with his 45 year old unmarried daughter, Ragnild Christensdatter who maintained herself with needlework [nærer sig med Haandarbeide]. This is probably the same person. 2
