Karoline married Kristen Hansen Salseng, son of Hans Olsen Salseng and Helene Jensdatter Kastdalen. (Kristen Hansen Salseng was born on 25 Mar 1835 in Salseng, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 12 Apr 1835 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1932.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 Kresten and Karoline were cottagers on the Kjellegaard farm in Askim. They had 5 sons and a daughter with them: Kristian, Karl, Johan, Aksel, Herman, and Helga.

In October 1913 they were living on the Kommunegaarden in Askim. ^{4 5}
