  General Notes:

In 1865 Hans Kristiansen took over the Grina u. Dallerud farm as a cottager. During the period 1876-86 Hans Kristiansen Dallerud farmed Sekkelsten for his uncle Hans Larsen and partner. During 1884-86 he and Karen were on Holen (Haugerhytta) for a short time and were probably the last to farm it. Hans and Karen bought Heier u. Hon in 1886 for 1000 kr.

  Research Notes:

The census for 1900 lists his year of birth as 1830. It is also listed as 1830 in the baptism record for his son Karl Hilmar. 5 6


Hans had a child with Maren Gudmundsdatter, daughter of Gudmund Kristiansen and Gunhild Jonsdatter. (Maren Gudmundsdatter was born on 28 May 1830 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 6 Jun 1830 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


Hans next married Karen Simensdatter Smith, daughter of Simen Olsen Smith and Ragnhild Larsdatter Lundebyplass, on 10 Apr 1862 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Karen Simensdatter Smith was born on 15 Feb 1841 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway, christened on 7 Mar 1841 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway and died in 1917.)


  Marriage Notes:

In 1865 they were cottagers on part of Dallerud. Hans was 36 and Karen was 25 years old. Their daughter Johanne was 3.

In the census for 1900 they were on the Heier farm in Askim. Their son Karl was with them, going to school. 4 5
