Lars married Maria Jørgensdatter, daughter of Jørgen Torvaldsen and Kristine Gudmundsdatter. (Maria Jørgensdatter was born circa 1798 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

In December 1833 they were recorded as Lars Christophersen og Marie Jørgensdatter Laholmen.

In the census for 1865 Lars and Marie were cottagers without land on the Østre Laholmen farm in Askim. Lars was making a living through manual labour. ^{2 4}
