  • Marriage: Signe Beck

Another name for Kristian was Kristian Johansen.

  Research Notes:

From Ole Johan Bakker:
"The later Kristian was probably born 1888, and married later to Signe Beck from Drøbak (Droebak). He and his family moved to Jessheim where he worked in a local power company. Probably as an engineer. This branch of the family changed the spelling of the surname to "Backer".
"I know that Kristian at least had one son Gunnar, and he has a son named Knut, I believe. Knut was at a time a well knowm go-cart driver in Norway with several championships.
"My father told me that Kristian was raised and lived most of his first years by his grandfather Kristen Villumsen. That is maybe the reason you do not have him as one of my grandfather's brothers. I see that under the information about Kristen Villumsen you have listed one fosterson Kristian Johansen, and this must be my grandfather's oldest brother."

The census for 1900 lists his year of birth as 1887.

Kristian married Signe Beck. (Signe Beck was born in 1892 in Kristiania, Norway.)
