General Notes: Johannes farmed the ytre Torp farm in Askim and was a cottager under the Jaeren and Tømmerås farms before he took over the Vestby farm as a cottager in 1875. Johannes married Oline Kristiansdatter Gram, daughter of Kristian Valentinsen Korsegården and Lisabet Olsdatter, on 19 Jun 1860 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Oline Kristiansdatter Gram was born in 1840 in Korsegården, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 3 Jan 1841 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1930 in Stensby, Askim, Østfold, Norway.) Marriage Notes: In the 1865 census they were cottagers with land on one (95b1) of the Jahren farms in Askim. Johannes was 34 and Oline was 26 years old. |
