Lars Petter Torsen ^{1 2}

   Another name for Lars was Lars Thorsen.

  General Notes:

In 1874 Lars Petter Torsen and his brother-in-law Ole Martinsen bought the nedre Salseng farm in Askim from Lars Petter's mother for 2000 spdl. In 1881 Lars Petter took over søndre Vammeli, bnr. 1, for 8400 kr and sold his half of nedre Salseng to Ole.

Lars married Anna Marie Nilsdatter. (Anna Marie Nilsdatter was born in 1851 in Skiptvet, Østfold, Norway and died in 1920.)

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Vammeli (gnr.72, bnr.1) farm in Askim. Their daughter Sofie was with them. There was also a fosterson Gustav Hoel, born in Kristiania in 1891, with them. There was also a farmhand living on the farm. ²
