Another name for Torer was Thorer Andersen. Research Notes: There was a Torer Andersen, born in 1832, who bought a part of the vestre Langnes farm in Askim in 1875. He bought the other half in 1877 for 6000 kr. He owned the farm until he died in 1901. Torer Andersen at vestre Langnes was married with Anna Kristine Jonsdatter, born in 1836. Their daughter Tora Kristine Josefa, born in 1876 in Kristiania, was confirmed on vestre Langnes in 1890. In addition they had Truls, Tomas and Ludvig. Their son Truls Andersen took over the farm in 1902 and owned it until 1920. Truls was a Major. 6 Noted events in his life were: • He was confirmed on 26 Sep 1847 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.
