Other names for Kristoffer were Maseng and Christopher Larsen Tornerud. General Notes: In 1801 he appears to have been 23 years old, married, and working as a servant on the Mosengen farm in Askim. His wife was working on the Jahren farm. 7 Medical Notes: He was 82 years old when he died. Kristoffer married Anne Amundsdatter, daughter of Amund Amundsen and Ingeborg Olsdatter, on 24 Nov 1800 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Anne Amundsdatter was born in 1779 in Simenrud, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened in 1779 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 9 Apr 1862 in Tornerud, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 16 Apr 1862.) Marriage Notes: Kristoffer and Anne farmed the nordre Laholmen farm in Askim ca 1805 - 10. They were cottagers on the Tornerud farm from about 1810 until the beginning of the 1850's. |
