Ole took over the Vrangen (u. Sør-Skjolden) farm in Askim. Near the end of the 1790's [probably 1796] he moved to Gjellestadholen.

His year of birth is also recorded as 1750.

• He was a shoemaker and corporal.

• He was a cottager and shoemaker [huusmand uden jord og skomager] in 1801 in Gjellestad, Askim, Østfold, Norway.

Ole married Johanne Hansdatter, daughter of Hans Pedersen and Eli Tornerud, on 4 Jan 1779 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Johanne Hansdatter was born on 18 Jan 1756 in Tornerud, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 15 Feb 1756 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

When they married they were recorded as Ole Andersen Frosterud og Johanne Hansdatter Laholmen.

In the census of 1801 Ole, Johanne and their four children were cottagers on the Gillestad farm in Askim. Ole was 51 years old, Johanne 44, son Christian was 19, Hans 14, daughter Margrethe 9, and Gunder was 5.
