Other names for Johannes were Johannes G. Galtebo and Johannes Halstvedt. General Notes: Johannes bought the nedre Hol (bnr. 2) farm in Askim for 7000 kr in 1910. He sold it in 1918 for 14 600 kr. Research Notes: In the census of 1900 Johannes was a farmworker on the Vammeli (bnr. 2) farm in Askim, working for Hans Paulsen. Johannes married Mina Josefine Vengen, daughter of Martin Hansen Vengen and Karen Oline Kristiansdatter, on 30 Oct 1910 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Mina Josefine Vengen was born on 10 Mar 1884 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway and died in 1915.) Marriage Notes: They were living on Hoel ytre in Askim when their daughter Gudrun Josefine was baptised in September 1914. |
