Cause of her death was kidney disease [nyresykdom]. Another name for Maren was Maren Bertea Andreasdatter Oraug. General Notes: She was 20 years old in the census for 1865, and living with her widowed mother and 3 brothers on the Egeheia farm in Høland, Akershus. 3 Maren married Martinius Kristiansen Oraug, son of Christian Christensen and Anne Hansdatter. (Martinius Kristiansen Oraug was born in 1840 in Østergård, Høland, Akershus, Norway, died on 19 May 1916 in Østgaard av Løken, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 27 May 1916 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.) The cause of his death was heart attack [slagtilfelle]. Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Oraug (bnr. 2) farm in Askim. They had a son and four daughters with them, all unmarried: Albert, Alide, Selma, Ovidia, and Magda. There were also four farmhands living on the farm. 4 |
