   Another name for Torer was Thoer Gundbiørnsøn Kateralen.

  General Notes:

Torer took over the Katralen farm in Askim after his brother Jens died in 1743. From 1744 until 1753 he farmed there with Jon Larsen who was married to Torer's brother's daughter. In 1753 Torer bought Jon's part of the farm. Torer farmed the whole of Katralen until 1772, when he sold the farm which was then divided into southern and northern parts.

When he died his age was recorded as 67 years 5 months and 8 days.

Torer married Dorte Guttulsdatter Galtebu, daughter of Guttul Bjørnsen Galtebu and Kirsti Fransdatter. (Dorte Guttulsdatter Galtebu was born circa 1712 and died in 1737.)

Torer next married Aslaug Jonsdatter Skavogg on 6 Nov 1737 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹
