In the 1865 census she was 20 years old, unmarried, and living with her widowed mother and her sister Anna M. on part (135b) of the Kvakkestad farm in Askim.

The 1865 census lists her birthplace as Eidsberg. The 1900 census lists it as Askim.

Petrine married Kristian Evensen Kvakkestad, son of Even Olsen Filtvedt and Unknown, on 20 Feb 1866 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Kristian Evensen Kvakkestad was born in 1840 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway ⁵ and died in 1927.)

  Marriage Notes:

Petrine and Kristian took over her parents farm, søndre Kvakkestad, in Askim in 1866 for 7200 kr.

In the 1900 census they owned and farmed the Kvakkestad (bnr. 2) farm. They had three unmarried children (Johannes, Martha and Elise) and a married son (Emil) with them.
