In the census for 1865 Augusta was 15 years old and living with her unmarried 70 year old father Lars on the Hjænseg farm in Trøgstad.

Augusta married Simen Andersen Hoel, son of Anders Nielsen Hoel and Johanne Maria Markusdatter, in 1871. (Simen Andersen Hoel was born on 24 Jan 1848 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 20 Feb 1848 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 6 Jul 1905 in Christiania, Norway and was buried on 13 Jul 1905.) The cause of his death was suicide [selvmord].

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Hoel (bnr. 1) farm in Askim. All their surviving children were listed with them except Johanne and Julie. Simen's brother Niels was also living there. ¹
