  Research Notes:

Her year of birth is also recorded as 1817 but she was 29¼ years old when she married in June 1848 which would result in her birth being in about March 1819. When she died it was recorded that she was born in 1818.


Kirstine married Andreas Olsen Langnes, son of Ole Olsen Langnes and Marte Larsdatter Fusk, on 3 Jun 1848 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Andreas Olsen Langnes was born on 18 Jan 1817 in Langnes, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 26 Jan 1817 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 8 Mar 1861 in nordre Ilen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 19 Mar 1861.)


  Marriage Notes:

When they married Andreas was 31 years old and from the Langenæs farm in Askim. Kirstine was 29¼ and from the Ihlen nordre farm. Their best men were Thord Ihlen and Lars Torp in Trøgstad. 1

Kirstine next married Peder Kristiansen Holli, son of Christian Pedersen and Unknown, on 14 Jan 1864 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Peder Kristiansen Holli was born on 3 Nov 1825 in Smedhytta under Haugen, Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway, died on 26 Feb 1911 in Ilen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 4 Mar 1911.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the 1865 census they owned and farmed one (159a) of the Ihlen nordre farms in Askim. He was 42 and she was 48 years old. With them were Kirstine's three children from her previous marriage: Karen M. (12), Oline (9), and Lars (8).

In the census for 1900 they were living with Karen's son Lars on the Ihlen nordre (bnr. 1) farm. They were living from their capital. 4 5
