Maria married Anders Eriksen Hon, son of Erik Andersen Hon and Ragnhild Syversdatter Eiebakke, on 1 Nov 1854 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Anders Eriksen Hon was born on 4 Mar 1823 in Hon, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 9 Mar 1823 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

When they married Anders was 31½ years old and Maria was 36. He was from the Hoen farm in Askim and she was from the Halstvedt farm. His father was Erik Andersen and hers was Andreas Andersen. The best men at their marriage were Ole E. Hoen and Johan Halstvedt.

In February 1862, when their daughter Lena Julie was baptised, they were called Andreas Eriksen og Marie Andreasdr Hoen.

They buried two of their daughters in April 1863.

In 1865 they owned and farmed part (24b1) of the Hobøl farm in Askim. Andreas was 43 and Maria was 47 years old. They had only Johanne (10), Anders (8), and a fosterchild, Hans Christiansen (3, born in Askim) with them. ^{1 4}
