Olav Kristensen Kvale ^{1 2 3}

  General Notes:

In the census for 1900 Olav Kvale lived on the Lillemo farm in Elverum, Hedmark. He was a seminary student [Seminarelev]. His birthplace was identified as "Lyster i Sogn".

In 1908 Olav bought the Stensrud part of the Øvre Rud farm in Askim for 3500 kr. He sold it for 3600 kr in 1911.

Olav bought the Skjodvang farm from his brother-in-law, Olav Skjolden, in 1909 for 4000 kr. "Husa på Skjoldvang bydge Olav Kvale fra 1909 og utover. Hovedbygningen er restaurert, og det ble montert korntørke i låvebygningen i 1970-åra."

Kvale was a teacher and took an active part in public life. He was a member of the town council 1926-40, in 1945, and 1948-51.
