  General Notes:

In the census for 1900 he was unmarried and lodging at the Aas farm in Rakkestad.

In 1918 Lars bought the Ly (Byfram) farm in Askim for 9000 kr. and sold it the same year for 18 000 kr.

In 1920 he bought the Solstad farm (under Nordre Løken) in Askim for 40 000 kr. Lødøen was a teacher in Askim from 1906 until 1920 and lived at the Korsegård school. From 1920 he was an insurance investigator. In 1928 he bought the øvre Løken farm and he used it as well as Solstad.

In addition to farming Lars raised animals for pelts. In 1933 he received a judgement against him from a neighbour and was obliged to quit that pursuit.

  Noted events in his life were:

• He was an elementary school teacher [Lærer ved folkeskolen] in 1900 in Rakkestad, Østfold, Norway.


Lars married Karoline Eiebakke, daughter of Ole Anton Pedersen and Johanne Johannesdatter. (Karoline Eiebakke was born in 1890 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway and died before 25 Aug 1947 3.)
