In the census for 1865 Amalie Pettersdatter appears to be a servant on the Dalen farm in Eidsberg. She was 21 years old and unmarried at that time. 2


Amalie married Johannes Andreassen Tassibakke, son of Andreas Andersen Hol and Marte Larsdatter. (Johannes Andreassen Tassibakke was born on 5 Dec 1844 in Eiebakke, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 15 Dec 1844, died on 29 Jan 1901 in Eiebakke, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 8 Feb 1901.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed one (bnr. 1) of the Eiebakke farms in Askim. Johannes' widowed father was with them. There were also two fosterchildren (pleiebarn), Andreas Hansen (born 1889, Eidsberg) and Hans Hansen (born 1891, Eidsberg). Their children, Johan Peter and Maren Anette, are not listed. 3
