   Other names for Sven were Svend Clemmedsen and Sven Klemmetsen Vestereng.

  General Notes:

Sven took over the Bilitt farm in Askim and was a cottager there until about 1813. He had previously been a cottager on the Skjørten-Stegen farm (in 1798) and on Vestereng under Oraug. Later, after 1810, we find the family on the Alvum farm under Oraug as cottagers.

  Research Notes:

There is a record of a Svend Clemetsen who died at the age of 75 years on 28 Nov 1842 in Askim and was buried on 04 Dec 1842. This is possibly the same person.

Sven married Marte Olsdatter, daughter of Ole Paulsen Salseng and Berte Larsdatter Slengebråte, on 6 Nov 1797 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Marte Olsdatter was born in 1774.)

  Marriage Notes:

When they married they were recorded as Svend Clemmedsen Moen og Marthe Olsdatter Oraug.

In 1801 the family was living as cottagers on the Henstad farm in Askim. Svend was 28 and Marthe was 26 years old. They were both in their first marriage.

Their children were confirmed when the family lived on the Alvum farm in Askim. ^{1 4}
