Christian married Anne Maria Davidsdatter, daughter of David Henriksen Gurud and Tollena Olsdatter. (Anne Maria Davidsdatter was born on 9 Jun 1818 in Kolstad Søndre, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 14 Jun 1818 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

In the 1865 census they owned and farmed one (56b) of the Odalen farms in Askim. Christian was 46 and Anne M was 47 years old. They had their two daughters and four sons with them. ³
