Another name for Karl was Carl Olsen. General Notes: In 1860 Karl Olsen bought the Myra farm in Askim for 200 spdl. His brother Kristen took over the farm in 1863 for the same price. Research Notes: He was 35 years old in the 1865 census. Karl married Johanne Larsdatter, daughter of Lars Jensen Skjønhaug and Maria Gulbrandsdatter Gurud, on 7 Jun 1860 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Johanne Larsdatter was born on 23 Mar 1830 in Oraugplass, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 4 Apr 1830 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)
