Research Notes: In the census for 1865 there was a Vilhelm Amundsen, 33 years old and born in Spydeberg, who was a tenant farmer on the Hvittisten farm in Spydeberg. He was unmarried and his widowed mother, Elene K. Villumsdatter (67 years old and born in Spydeberg) lived with him. This is possibly the same person. 4 Vilhelm married Olava Valentinsdatter, daughter of Valentin Jensen Gram and Helene Gundersdatter. (Olava Valentinsdatter was born on 19 Apr 1839 in Gurud, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 28 Apr 1839 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 20 May 1911 in Langbråten u. Henstad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 27 May 1911.) The cause of her death was tuberculosis [lungetæring]. Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 they were cottagers on the Hauger søndre farm in Spydeberg. 3 |
