Another name for Edvard was Edvard Chr. Torp. General Notes: Edvard Kristiansen took over the nedre Tovengen farm in about 1862. In 1868 he had leased the Risengen farm where his daughter Lina was born. It was sold in 1869. Research Notes: His confirmation record shows his birthplace as nordre Rom. Edvard married Maren Hansdatter Rom, daughter of Hans Pedersen Risengen and Sofia Paulsdatter Torp, on 13 Nov 1866 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Maren Hansdatter Rom was born in 1846 in Nord-Rom, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 28 Dec 1895 in Rom, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 14 Jan 1896 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.) |
