Anton and his brother Fredrik took over the Mellom-Rom farm together for 4 200 spdl. when their father died. When Fredrik died in 1900 the farm was sold. Anton continued to work there as farm manager until 1901, when the farm was sold again.

In the 1865 census he was 27 years old and living with his parents and siblings on Rom nordre in Askim.

In the census for 1900 he managed the Rom nordre (bnr.1) farm. He is listed as married but his wife is not identified. His brother Fredrik's daughter, Helga, is listed as Anton's daughter. He might have adopted her after her father died in 1900. Anton's sister Maria and her husband Anders also lived there. There were also a few servants and canal workers living on the farm.

When he died the record indicates that he was unmarried.
