Jan married Anne Oline Kristensdatter, daughter of Kristen Olsen Kjellås and Johanne Henriksdatter, on 14 Jul 1876 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Anne Oline Kristensdatter was born on 30 May 1852 in Kjellås, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 4 Jul 1852 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1942.)


  Marriage Notes:

They lived on the Rustad u. Øvre Rud farm in Askim in 1876-78, when their children Johan Henrik and Anne Elise were born. In the 1880's until about 1890 the family lived on Solberg u. søndre Rom. In about 1890 they returned to Rustad.

The census for 1900 shows them living on Solberg. He was a rubble wallbuilder and she was a cook in a dining business. Their two daughters were with them. There were 9 others living there, all from out of town and working on the railroad or canal.

They moved to Kristiania just after the turn of the century, but they returned to Askim shortly after and bought the Solberg u. søndre Rom farm in 1902 for 500 kr.

Widow Anne Oline Løv sold Solberg in 1934 to her son-in-law Henrik Hansen for 5000 kr. 5
