Marriage Notes: In the census for 1801 Jens and Elen were living on the Hougland farm in Trøgstad. He was a farmer there. It was his second marriage and her first. They had their 15 year old son ("deres søn"), Lars, with them. 3 Eli next married Hans Mattisen Gjellestad, son of Mattis Hansen Blunkeslett and Margrete Torersdatter, on 5 Jan 1806 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Hans Mattisen Gjellestad was born in 1751 in Tornerud, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 30 Jun 1836 in Revaug, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 9 Jul 1836.) |
