Other names for Kristen were Myra and Christen Olsen. General Notes: In 1855 the Kjellegård (u. Nordre Rom) farm in Askim was taken over by Kristen Olsen and Johanne Henriksdatter. They had their daughter Karoline there that year. In 1863 Kristen took over the Myra (u. Øvre rud) farm in Askim after his brother Karl for 200 spdl. Kristen married Johanne Henriksdatter, daughter of Henrik Hansen and Anikken Olsdatter, on 8 Mar 1852 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Johanne Henriksdatter was born on 10 May 1820 in Mosebyødegård, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 14 May 1820 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 24 Apr 1862 in Myra u. øvre Rud, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 2 May 1862.) Marriage Notes: When they married Christen was 25 years old and from the Kjelaas farm in Askim. His father was Ole Olsen. Johanne was from the Maaseby farm. Her father was Henrik Hansen. The best men at the marriage were Poul Qvakkestad and Christian Kjelaas. |
