General Notes:
Rasmus and his siblings inherited half of the Østre Eek farm in Askim from their father and in 1747 they inherited the other half from their mother.
Rasmus never went to live on Eek. He was a farmer on the Solberg farm which he took over after his wife's mother, when she died in 1739. When his wife, Dorthe Aslachsdatter, died in 1754, the Solberg farm was divided between Rasmus and his step-son, Aslach Hansen. A short while later they both sold to Rasmus' brother, Jens Svendsen Eek. Jens had already bought his siblings interests in the Østre Eek farm in two steps, 02 November 1745 and 08 July 1748.

He was 59 years 7 months and 14 days old when he died.
Rasmus married Dorthe Aslachsdatter Solberg, daughter of Aslak Olsen Solberg and Siri Tostensdatter Massengen, circa 1731. (Dorthe Aslachsdatter Solberg was born circa 1682 and died in 1754.)
Marriage Notes:
Dorthe married Rasmus the year after the death of her first husband.
