Other names for Tor were Torer and Thor Olsen Nedre Ruud. General Notes: In 1782 Ole Andersen turned over the nedre Rud (søndre delen) farm in Askim to his sons Tor and Ole. In 1785 Tor bought up his brother's portion for 150 rdl. He sold the farm to his son Erik in 1824. Tor married Inger Larsdatter, daughter of Lars Simensen Onstad and Anne Christensdatter Sundet, on 8 May 1783 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Inger Larsdatter was born in 1762 in Onstad, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened in 1762 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1841.) Marriage Notes: In 1801 the family was on the Rud Nedre farm in Askim. Thor was 42 and Inger was 38 years old, both in their first marriage. They had their six children with them. 3 |
