   Another name for Syver was Syver Larsen Slængebraaten.

  General Notes:

In 1861 Syver bought the Slengebråte farm in Askim for 3000 Spdlr. He and Karen kept the farm until 1899.

Syver was living on the farm in 1900 as a widow. By then his son Johan owned it. At the time of the census he was visiting Fredrikstad. The census shows his year of birth as 1828. 3


Syver married Karen Pedersdatter Vammeli, daughter of Peder Iversen Auten and Maria Pedersdatter Gurud, on 28 Nov 1856 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Karen Pedersdatter Vammeli was born on 1 Jun 1830 in Vammeli, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 6 Jun 1830 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died before 1901.)


  Marriage Notes:

Syver was 29 and Karen was 26½ years old when they married in 1856. He was from the Lier søndre farm in Askim and she was from the Vammelie farm. The best men at their marriage were Thorer Vammelie and Hans Revoug.

In November 1858 they were on the Bekkevard farm in Askim.

In 1865 they lived on and owned the Slengebraate farm in Askim. They had their two daughters and two sons with them. 1 4
