  General Notes:

Thorer bought the Haraldstad farm in Askim in 1775 for 700 rdl. Haraldstad was his "allodium" because his older brother, Lars, was attached to the Hielmarch farm in Eidsberg. Thorer sold Haraldstad on 05 July 1783 for 1096 rdl. A year later he married widow Ingrid Gundersdatter Huer. He got the Huer farm with Ingrid and became a farmer there.

  Medical Notes:

He was recorded as 74 years old when he died. This would make his year of birth 1750.

Thorer married Ingrid Gundersdatter Huer, daughter of Jon Gundersen Oraug and Marte Kristensdatter Rom, on 23 Feb 1784. (Ingrid Gundersdatter Huer was born circa 1728 in Oraug, Askim, Østfold, Norway and died circa 1799.)

Thorer next married Anikken Fredrikke Henriksdatter Smith, daughter of Henrik Smith and Unknown, circa 1799. (Anikken Fredrikke Henriksdatter Smith was born circa 1755 and died in 1830 in Kykkelsrud, Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1801 they owned and farmed the Buskildsruud farm in Eidsberg. They were both in their second marriages. Their son Ole was with them, as well as Anniken's five sons from her previous marriage. 3
