In 1877 widow Anne Kristine Åser bought the Hauger farm in Askim and moved there with her 9 children. In 1880 she sold the farm and moved to Hoksmark in Ås.

In the census for 1900 Kirstine Aaser lived at Thereses Gade 24 in Kristiania with a few of her children, Hans Christian, Magnus, Olaf, and Anna, and Anna's children, Ivar, Signe, and Einar. Kirstine was dependent on her children [Forsørget af børn].

Anne Kirstine Aaser døde i Drøbak hos en av sønnene som drev bakerforretning der. Hun blev begravet i Askim og var ved sin død i 1909, 72 år gammel.

Anne married Iver Hansen Aaser, son of Hans Iversen Aaser and Dorthe Martine Andreasdatter Grødtvedt, on 27 Jul 1865 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Iver Hansen Aaser was born on 1 Aug 1837 in Torp, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 20 Aug 1837 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 4 Mar 1876 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 13 Mar 1876 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.) The cause of his death was "Stivkrampe" (tetanus).

In 1865 they were living on the Haraldstad farm in Askim. They were both 29 years old. Their 4 year old daughter Magna was with them. ⁷
