Lars and Kari lived on the Ospelund farm in Askim in 1790, when they had their son Tron. From the middle of the 1790's we find the family on the Laholmen farm (under Prestegården) as cottagers, until the early 1800's.

They were cottagers with land on the Prestegården in Askim in the census for 1801. He was 45 years old and in his second marriage. She was 41 and in her first. They had their children Maria (12), Tron (10), Christian (5), and Anne (3) with them. 1 5
