He was listed as 8 years old in the census for 1801. At that time he was living with his mother and stepfather on the Buskildsruud farm in Eidsberg.

In 1821 Villem bought the western half part of the søndre Rom farm in Askim from Ole Paulsen for 1200 spdl. In 1822 he took over the southern part of the Gurud farm after his father-in-law, and he lived on Gurud until 1824. He then took over the other half part of søndre Rom, and he moved then to Rom.

Villem was a member of the town council in Askim 1840-43.

In 1863 Villem divided the søndre Rom farm into northern and southern parts between his son Hans and his son-in-law Ole Albrektsen Sulu.

In the 1865 census he was 73 years old, widowed, and living with his son Hans' family.

Villem had a child with Eli Olsdatter Fjellengen.

Villem had a child with Maria Halvorsdatter Vestereng, daughter of Halvor Hansen and Ragnhild Johannesdatter. (Maria Halvorsdatter Vestereng was born in 1791 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died after 1865.)

Villem next married Siri Halvorsdatter Rom, daughter of Halvor Kristensen Rom and Kari Torsdatter Grøttvet. (Siri Halvorsdatter Rom was born in 1799 and died in 1841.)

In June 1823 they were recorded as Villem Aslachsen og Sigri Halvorsdatter Gurud. In February 1827 they were recorded on søndre Rom in Askim. ⁶

Villem next married Inger Torkildsdatter, daughter of Arne Gulmundsen and Ane Arnesdatter, after 1841. (Inger Torkildsdatter was born in 1797, died on 31 May 1856 in Rom, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 11 Jun 1856.)
