Gunhild married Ole Kristiansen Svinekle, son of Kristian Olsen Svinekle and Karen Johanne Pedersdatter, on 22 Mar 1855 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Ole Kristiansen Svinekle was born on 22 May 1828 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 1 Jun 1828 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 21 Oct 1905 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 1 Nov 1905.)


  Marriage Notes:

When they married Ole was 27 years old and Gunild was 21. He was from the Svinhegle farm in Askim and she was from the Ihlen søndre farm. His father was Christian Olsen and her father was Thord Jensen. The best men at their marriage were Johannes Svinhegle and Carl Frosterud.

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Svinekle vestre farm in Askim. They had two sons, two daughters and a fosterchild with them, all unmarried: Hans, Johan, Gunda, Ragna, and Karen Sofie Olavesdatter born in 1889 in Askim. There were also a few people living there from out of town who worked on the canal or did housework. 1 6
