Kari married Halvor Kristensen Rom, son of Kristen Halvorsen Rom and Sigri Olsdatter Eidareng, on 2 Feb 1795 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 2 (Halvor Kristensen Rom was born on 24 Oct 1762 in Søndre Rom, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 12 Dec 1762, died on 11 Mar 1847 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 23 Mar 1847.) Marriage Notes: In 1801 the family was on the Rom Søndre farm in Askim. Halvor was 40 years old and Kari was 27. Both were in their first marriage. Their two daughters were with them, but their eldest child Kristen, who was then 5, was with Kari's parents. |
