Another name for Syver was Eiebach. General Notes: Syver took over the southern part of the Eiebakke nordre farm in Askim from his widowed mother in 1782. He used it until he died. Medical Notes: When he died he was recorded as 58 years 1 week and 4 days old. Syver married Johanne Gulbrandsdatter. (Johanne Gulbrandsdatter was born circa 1757, died in Nov 1799 in Eiebakke, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 24 Nov 1799 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.) The cause of her death was tuberculosis [tæring]. Syver next married Kirsti Knutsdatter, daughter of Knud Siøfarsøn and Goroe Pedersdatter, on 5 Jan 1802 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Kirsti Knutsdatter was born in 1776, christened on 9 Nov 1776 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died in 1814 in Eiebakke, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 9 Mar 1814 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.) Marriage Notes: With the division of inheritance after Syver, in 1808 half of the nordre Eiebakke farm was disbursed to his widow Kirsti for 1200 rdl. In 1810 Syver's children transferred the other half of the farm to Kirsti for 198 rdl. Kirsti remarried in 1812. |
