  General Notes:

From 1865 to 1875 the søndre Vengen farm was used by Ole Larsen. He lived on the Holen farm in 1875, and in 1885 he moved to the Eiebakkåsen farm from Trøgstad with his wife, his son (Even), and his sister Petrine.

"De bodde da her [Eiebakkåsen] sammen med sønnen Even. Oles søster Petrine Larsdtr. (eier) bodde også her, hadde egen husholdning og "lever av formue", står det i tellingslista fra 1891. Hun flyttet seinere til Eiebakke bnr. 1."

When his wife died in 1895 he move the same year to the USA with his son, Even. His son Karl Olsen had moved to the USA in 1892, and his son Lars had certainly moved there previously.

  Noted events in his life were:

• He was a worker with Nickelworks {arbeider ved Nikkelverket] in 1875.

• He was a railway worker [jernbanearbeider] in 1891.


Ole married Lisa Evensdatter on 31 Oct 1864 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Lisa Evensdatter was born in 1835 in Holmedal, Värmland, Sweden, died on 26 Jul 1895 in Eiebakkåsen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 1 Aug 1895 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the 1865 census they were cottagers with land on one of the Vingen farms in Askim. Ole was 27 and Lisa was 31 years old. Their first son, Johan Henrik, was with them at 1 year old. Also with them was Stina Ingebretsdatter, a 27 year old servant from Sweden.

In November 1872 when their son Lars was christened they were called Ole Larsen Fuskplads og Lise Evensdr. 1 5
