In 1860 the Teigen (Gnr. 19, bnr. 10) portion of the Hobøl farm was sold for 1 700 spdlr. to Christian Larsen Hoel.

"Han var en dyktig tømmermann og hjulmaker, og drev meget med det ved siden av gårdsbruket. Han var en sindig mann og fikk flere kommunale verv, var bl. a. med i herredstyret i flere perioder."

His year of birth is also recorded as 1829. This is consistent with the census of 1865 which shows him as 37 years old.

Christian married Anne Sofie Larsdatter Catheralen, daughter of Lars Gundersen Catheralen Nordre and Gunhild Johannesdatter Catheralen Søndre, on 17 Jan 1856 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Anne Sofie Larsdatter Catheralen was born on 13 Dec 1836 in Katralen, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 25 Dec 1836 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 29 Oct 1911 in Bjerkerud, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 4 Nov 1911.)

  Marriage Notes:

When they married Christian was 26 years old and Anne Sofia was 19. He was from the Eiebakke farm in Askim and she was from the Katralen farm. The best men at their marriage were Johannes Katralen and Christian Ørken.

They were on the Hobbelteigen farm in Askim in January 1964.

They had several children but none of them stayed to take over the Teigen farm.

Christian Larsen and Anne Sofie moved to Askim, villa Bjerkerud, where they stayed for the remainder of their lives.

They were recorded as Christian Larsen og Anne Sofie Larsdr Katralen in August 1858. ¹
